COMBAT RELATED TBI and/or PTSD

In 2007 Dr. Esty and NCW decided to offer free treatment for our Iraq/Afghanistan veterans who were dealing with the aftereffects of mild or moderate traumatic brain injury (TBI is also called post-concussion syndrome), and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Because of the positive results Dr. Esty documented in symptoms of TBI using the Flexyx Neurotherapy System (FNS) in an NIH-funded study that was published in 2001, she decided to see if the effects of blast injury would respond as well to FNS treatment as the non-combat injuries had done. NCW has treated over 800 people with TBI and, depending on the pattern of brainwave (EEG) firing, we expect to see improvement in cognitive functioning, reduction in irritability, and great improvement in previously violent behaviors. Many have been able to return to their pre-trauma level of functioning.

Various outcome results of this study have been presented in 2009 and are published in three leading journals:
